How we work
Built Around Local-First, Evidence-First Principles
Dog House Ventures develops software around three principles: keep sensitive records under the user's control, preserve the connection between claims and evidence, and make important histories easier to inspect and understand.
Local-First
Products are designed to process and store records locally whenever possible, without requiring users to surrender sensitive files to a remote service.
Evidence-Linked
Important entries remain connected to their supporting sources so users can trace conclusions back to the records that support them.
Human Judgment in Control
Software surfaces candidates and organizes evidence. A person reviews, confirms, edits, rejects, or defers—nothing important is finalized automatically.
Founder
Douglas P. Galullo
Douglas P. Galullo is the founder of Dog House Ventures LLC, based in Connecticut. He brings more than 30 years of operations experience to the company, including approximately 17 years in commercial printing and production operations, approximately 8 years as a Waterbury police officer, and time as a former retail-business owner.
That background—running physical production operations, working in a field that depends on documentation and chain-of-custody, and owning a small business directly—shapes how Dog House Ventures approaches software: favoring control, records, accountability, and human judgment over automation for its own sake. Douglas founded Dog House Ventures to build local-first, evidence-first software informed by that real-world process experience, not a background in venture-backed tech.
